Managing the City Budget
- Managed nonprofit operations and successfully secured and used public grants—including for the 2020 Brockton Census campaign—to expand outreach and deliver results.
- Created “Peek-a-Boo Puree” using funding from the Family Resource Center, providing healthy eating tools and gift baskets for infants 6–18 months, in partnership with BASMI and WIC.
Constituent Services
- Co-hosted Brockton Stand Up Strong on Community Access TV—offering education, election results, and vital community information.
- Helped launch Brockton Mutual Aid, connecting families—including undocumented residents—to food, housing financial relief, baby care items, and healthcare resources during the pandemic.
Setting Policy Priorities
- Advocated for education funding, behavioral health reform, smaller class sizes, and stronger school safety.
- Supported Viva Urbana in pushing for low-income housing and renter protections.
- Spoke at Legislation Day with Senator Keenan, demanding more funding for elder services.
- Led advocacy during Brockton’s redistricting, ensuring fair representation for marginalized communities.
- Championed the Fair Share Amendment (Millionaire’s Tax) that passed in 2020 with 4% surtax, which helped revise.
- My degrees and professional background allow me to turn real community needs into smart, effective policy.
Economic and Community Development
- As a small business owner, I understand the challenges of starting and sustaining a business in our city.
- Led voter registration drives, Census outreach, and civic education programs to strengthen democracy and economic participation across Brockton.
School Committee Chair
- As mayor, I’ll serve as School Committee Chair—a responsibility I take seriously
- I’ve fought for mental health supports, classroom resources, and inclusive school environments. I will continue to center students, families, and educators in every decision.
